Getting Started
The United States Congress introduced Medicare Part D to help patients meet the challenges of rising prescription drug prices. It offers most Medicare enrollees a significant opportunity to save. There are also programs to help people with limited incomes pay little or nothing for their medications.
Unlike Part A and B, Medicare part D is not directly administered by the government. You choose a plan from a private company, much like other insurance you have used over your lifetime. There are lots of choices, and it pays to shop around.
If you have a prescription drug plan, you'll want to compare it to new plans to see if you can do better. If you don't have coverage, this is the time to enroll. Either way, Rite Aid is here to help with our exclusive free guide, online Medicare Advisor and expert pharmacists in every store.
