Rite Aid graduate pharmacy interns are invited and encouraged to attend. Rite Aid interns are eligible to bring a friend who is also graduating in fall 2008 or spring 2009 as a referral. Check with company representatives regarding details of the Graduate Intern Referral Program.
While you are meeting and networking, enter your name in a raffle to win 5 of the $1,000 scholarships or 2 of the $5,000 scholarships offered per site. All entries must be present on day of showcase event to enter name but do not need to be present to win. Limit one entry per person among all events. Entries are eligible to win only once. Drugstore Internships
Once you have entered into the professional program at your school of pharmacy, you are then eligible to enter the Rite Aid Intern program. It is designed to teach you about pharmacy operations and prepare you to manage a pharmacy upon licensure as a pharmacist. The internship begins with comprehensive Computer Based Training (CBT) modules which includes training on our advanced pharmacy computer system (NEXGEN), HIPAA, CIA and Rite Aid policies and procedures. The program is a structured four year, four step training that advances with each year of your internship.

Scholarships
Rite Aid offers scholarship opportunities available through schools of pharmacy and professional pharmacy organizations such as the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA) and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS). Community Pharmacy Practice Experiences
Rite Aid community pharmacy practice experiences are comprehensive, structured experiences in conjuction with the Colleges of Pharmacy throughout the United States. Rite Aid works closely with pharmacy schools to provide meaningful, challenging and quality experiences in a community pharmacy setting. We offer various types such as introductory, advanced, drug information and management pharmacy practice experiences. Community Pharmacy Residency
To provide student pharmacists the opportunity to expand their clinical skills upon graduation from pharmacy school, Rite Aid has partnered with four Colleges of Pharmacy to provide first year post-Pharm.D.-degree community pharmacy residencies. West Virginia University, University of Pittsburgh, Shenandoah University and Mercer University work with Rite Aid to provide community pharmacy residency training. These experiences focus on improving patient outcomes with pharmacist intervention in teaching patients how to develop a healthier lifestyle. In addition the residency is composed of teaching, precepting, performing community service, and providing quality healthcare by practicing as a pharmacist in a community setting.
