    Capacity Limits

    Rite Aid is adhering to any limits set by local municipalities regarding the number of customers allowed to shop at one time.

    Cleaning & Sanitization

    We’re following enhanced cleaning measures at store and distribution centers to prevent viruses like COVID-19 and the flu.

    Social Distancing

    Social distancing procedures in stores include marking floor areas at the pharmacy and front counters to ensure separation.

    Healthcare Chat

    As a Rite Aid Rewards member, ask a healthcare professional about  your medications from 9am to 8pm EST Monday through Friday by calling 1-800-RITEAID (1-800-748-3243). Not available on weekends or holidays.   

     

     

    Customer Safety

    As of July 4th, 2021 we are updating our in-store masking policy to follow CDC guidance to allow fully vaccinated guests to shop without wearing a face covering, unless otherwise mandated by local government officials. As a healthcare provider, we continue to ask unvaccinated individuals, particularly those receiving any direct care from our pharmacists, to continue to wear a face covering while in our stores. If a customer does not have a face covering, Rite Aid will provide one free of charge.

    Pandemic Pay

     

    Our Pandemic Pay Program, which ran from March 13, 2020 through June 1, 2021, was designed to ensure that associates were fairly compensated if diagnosed with the virus or quarantined due to exposure.

    Associate Safety

     

    As of July 4th, 2021 we are updating our in-store masking policy to follow CDC guidance to allow fully vaccinated associates to work without wearing a face covering, unless otherwise mandated by local government officials. For safety, pharmacists will still be required to wear a mask while vaccinating customers. We have also installed Plexiglass shields at the pharmacy and front-end counters and developed in-store social distancing protocols.

     

     

     

    Hero Pay

     

    As part of the Hero Pay program, hourly associates received a pay increase of $2 per hour from March 15, 2020 to May 16, 2020. 

    Enhanced Cleaning

     

    The same enhanced cleaning and sanitization measures that protect Rite Aid customers also protect our associates.

    Hero Bonus

     

    Retail store management – including pharmacists, distribution center management, and RediClinic professional associates – received a Hero Bonus of $1,000. 

     

     

    Sanitization Protocols

     

    In the event an associate is confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19, sanitization protocols are followed. 

    The Rite Aid Foundation

     

    The Rite Aid Foundation committed $5M to a

    COVID-19 philanthropic package, including $2M for

    the Rite Aid Associate Relief Fund.
